Good for the Soul

My dad is on day 3 of being off his feet for a few weeks recovering from a surgery on his leg. (Not the knees yet, just taking care of a sore leading up to the knee replacement.) To pass the time he has created a new sport. His friends brought him a nerf blowdart gun. Shooting at the TV and Christmas tree was fun for a minute, but he has moved on to moving targets. Not me, you don't bite the hand that feeds ya you know, he shoots Maximus and Titan. They scream and run and are always back for more within a second. Then Titan loves to pick up all the darts and give them back to Grandpa so he can do it all again. Goons.

That's really cute. Glad he's getting the surgeries under his belt. Do they know when he'll do the knees?

Claar and Mike:

I'm behind in my best of intentions, but Happy Birthdays, Merry Christmas to my beloved grands, Claar (16th), Michael (23rd.

Happy New Year, 2010, too.)

I just devour the stories, anecdotes, sparkling, expressive photos of my fabulous, beautiful great Grands, Maxx and Titan. They are each a photographer's greatest joy--next to their Mom and Dad, of course.

Love: Grandma Briggs

Home canned peaches--sweetest of Christmas treats. The halves are golden and round, topping a dark chocolate frosted brownie;floating in peach juice & Half and Half. Finally: spooned dollops of plain Danon yogurt;sprinkled with my favorite garnish delight: Hungarian Paprika! Delightful dessert fit for a queen.
Thanks, Claar and Randy, for the special, special gift.
First Aid kit will serve me for varied tasks, such as an emergency kit when I go visit the Monet Gardens in France.
